What you will do

• Develop and test AI agents that codify infrastructure management knowledge from standards, manuals, and reports into machine-readable structures.
• Build and evaluate agentic AI systems using knowledge graphs, LLMs, and reinforcement learning to support decision-making.
• Integrate AI agents with simulations to optimize maintenance, inspection, resilience, and planning workflows.
• Contribute to prototypes, case studies, and the publication of scientific papers.
• Collaborate within the interdisciplinary DigiConstruct Lab and the Integral Design and Management Section.

Requirements

• Completed or ongoing MSc degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in the intersection of AI and the built environment, specifically infrastructure and asset management.
• Experience with agentic AI systems, knowledge graphs, LLMs, or multi-agent systems.
• Proficient programming skills in Python and familiarity with ML/semantic modelling libraries.
• C1 English proficiency: strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and academic outputs.
• Proactive approach to research with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience processing heterogeneous technical datasets, such as inspection reports or infrastructure records.
• Knowledge of construction management or decision-making processes in the built environment.
• Proven experience in academic writing, literature review, or preparing research papers.
