TL;DR

Helpdesk Technician (Tier 1 & Tier 2) (Aerospace): Providing exceptional technical support and managing IT operations for a navigational intelligence company with an accent on hybrid Windows/Linux environments and cloud-based identity management. Focus on troubleshooting hardware and software issues, optimizing employee onboarding, and maintaining IT asset lifecycles in a scaling startup.

Location: On-site in Burlingame, California. Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), or other protected individual to comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.

Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 + Equity

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support requests.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues across Windows, Linux, and cloud environments.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including laptop provisioning and account permissions.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and equipment lifecycle tracking to ensure compliance.
  • Create internal documentation and knowledge base articles to improve support efficiency.
  • Assist with endpoint management and basic automation using PowerShell and Bash.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in IT Helpdesk or Technical Support within a small to mid-sized organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows environments, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) or Active Directory.
  • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and basic administration.
  • Basic scripting experience with PowerShell and Bash for automation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support both technical and non-technical employees.
  • U.S. citizenship, Green Card, or protected individual status is required.

Nice to have

  • Industry certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA.
  • Experience supporting macOS environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune or other MDM solutions.
  • Background working in a high-growth startup or rapidly scaling technology company.
