What you will do

• Develop open-source tools to automate SQL query optimization and database configuration tuning.
• Perform performance troubleshooting and optimization for large, heavily loaded databases (>1TiB, >10k TPS).
• Design efficient and secure DB schemas to support high-scale data storage.
• Conduct database experiments to verify migrations and complex system changes.
• Collaborate with development teams via code reviews and implement SQL optimization workflows.
• Work directly with clients to help them scale and optimize their PostgreSQL infrastructures.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing PostgreSQL in large-scale production environments.
• Strong expertise in performance optimization for high-load databases (>1TiB, >10k TPS).
• Proficiency in Advanced SQL, PL/pgSQL, and the EXPLAIN command for query troubleshooting.
• Deep knowledge of system performance, including Linux monitoring and tuning.
• Technical English proficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with sharding, partitioning, and logical decoding/replication.
• Knowledge of ZFS, file systems, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
• Programming skills in Go, C, Python, or Ruby.
• Experience with Oracle or SQL Server scalability and basic ML algorithms.
