TL;DR
Electrical Design Engineer (EPLAN): Creating and maintaining electrical designs for complex lifting systems in offshore, marine, and heavy industry with an accent on EPLAN Electric P8 and safety standards. Focus on designing control cabinet layouts, terminal diagrams, and ensuring the reliability of high-end hoisting equipment.
Location: Must be based in the Porto region, Portugal (Office-based)
Salary: €2,000–€2,750

What you will do
- Create detailed electrical schematics using EPLAN Electric P8.
- Design control cabinet layouts, terminal diagrams, cable lists, and BOMs.
- Develop electrical systems for cranes, hoisting equipment, and heavy lifting solutions.
- Support the selection of electrical components, including sensors, drives, and control systems.
- Prepare technical documentation for production, commissioning, and service.
- Collaborate with international engineering teams in the Netherlands.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer or EPLAN Engineer.
- Technical background in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Mechatronics.
- Strong proficiency in EPLAN for electrical design.
- Knowledge of industrial components such as drives, sensors, and PLC I/O.
- English: Good communication skills required.
- Location: Must be able to work from the Porto region office.
Nice to have
- Experience with offshore, marine, or heavy machinery.
- Knowledge of standards such as IEC 60204-1, IEC 60204-32, EN ISO 13849, or IEC 62061.
- Experience with Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Rockwell, or Pilz systems.
- Interest in AI and digital engineering workflows.
