What you will do

• Lead the technical architecture and delivery of scalable data engineering solutions.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Data Engineers within delivery teams.
• Design and manage robust data pipelines, platforms, and warehousing solutions.
• Handle complex or high-risk engineering components through a hands-on approach.
• Define best practices for data quality, performance, governance, and security.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and delivering scalable cloud-based data engineering solutions.
• Expertise in Azure (Data Factory, Synapse), AWS (Redshift, Glue), or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow).
• Advanced SQL skills, including optimization and performance tuning.
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformation frameworks.
• Programming proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data processing.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid setup in Leeds, UK
