What you will do

• Define and drive the Billing team roadmap, aligning team goals with organizational objectives and platform strategy.
• Provide technical leadership for complex distributed systems and design, proactively identifying improvement areas.
• Partner with product, engineering, BizOps, marketing, and sales to translate business goals into scalable objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and grow engineers (including Staff-level), building a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and strategic direction to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience, preferably with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar.
• 2+ years of engineering management experience.
• Experience owning a product area end-to-end, from shipping features to long-term maintenance and iteration.
• Experience working on customer-facing products, ideally developer tools or high-traffic product surfaces.
• Strong communication skills to clearly articulate technical concepts and tradeoffs.
• Experience scoping work, resource allocation, and setting engineering milestones and delivery dates.
