Business Development Capture Manager (Aerospace): Leading proposal efforts and capturing new business in the commercial and government space sectors with an accent on technical solution alignment and customer requirement analysis. Focus on liaising between multi-disciplinary teams to develop winning aerospace solutions and implementing strategic sales growth.

Location: Remote, Hybrid, or onsite in San Jose, California. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status is required

Salary: $140,000 – $175,000 per year

What you will do

  • Manage and lead proposals to capture new business opportunities.
  • Interface with customers to understand needs and explore technical solution trade spaces.
  • Liaise between Engineering, Product, Finance, and Legal teams to develop winning customer solutions.
  • Conduct internal proposal reviews and manage approval processes.
  • Support the development and implementation of sales strategies for government and commercial space sectors.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience closely related to the space discipline.
  • Strong background in space-related technologies such as In-Space Transport, Spacecraft design, or Propulsion.
  • BS Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status (required for access to export-controlled data).

Nice to have

  • MS Degree in Engineering, Physics, or an MBA.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Experience with Jira and project management software.
  • Previous experience with DoD and other USG development and deployment programs.
  • Ability to hold and maintain a USG Security Clearance.
