What you will do

• Build and maintain reliable, scalable backend services to support AI agent execution and orchestration.
• Develop AI agent systems for complex operational workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, LiteLLM, and Langfuse.
• Orchestrate hybrid model stacks combining OpenAI and Google Gemini with self-hosted LLMs like Gemma and Llama.
• Build and maintain integrations with clinical systems using FHIR and EMR standards.
• Design APIs (GraphQL, REST), background workers, and event-driven systems for AI inference engines.
• Collaborate with Data Science and ML teams to deploy AI features and optimize system performance.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in one or more major languages (Python, Java, Go, Rust, or Kotlin).
• Solid understanding of AI systems architecture, LLMs, and inference pipelines.
• Proven experience in building and scaling backend APIs, microservices, and background jobs.
• Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience with message brokers and distributed systems (Pub/Sub, Redis Streams, RabbitMQ).

Nice to have

• Strong proficiency in Python and/or Node.js/NestJS.
• Experience with clinical systems and healthcare data standards (FHIR, EMR/EHR).
• Hands-on experience with AI agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or LiteLLM.
• Familiarity with AI observability tools like Langfuse and OpenTelemetry.
