What you will do

• Own career planning, promotions, coaching, and structured performance management for engineers.
• Lead hiring, headcount planning, and resource allocation in line with the firm's priorities.
• Manage team culture, morale, and productivity while resolving conflicts constructively.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Collaborate with Tech Leads and Staff Engineers to align team work with organizational goals.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones and provide timely, clear feedback to team members.

Requirements

• Technical background sufficient to engage credibly in technical discussions with engineers.
• Demonstrated experience leading, growing, and managing the performance of software engineers.
• Proven track record of delivering software through a team, balancing scope and quality.
• Strong people-leadership skills in coaching, feedback, and conflict resolution.
• Sound judgment in hiring and developing technical talent.
• Must be based in Amsterdam, or willing to relocate.
