What you will do

• Lead development and optimization of SRM manufacturing processes including propellant mixing, vacuum casting, and filament winding.
• Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and statistical process control (SPC) to improve yield and reduce costs.
• Support new product introduction and design change implementation through process qualification.
• Perform root-cause analysis and lead corrective actions for process defects.
• Collaborate with automation teams to integrate robotics and digital tools into production workflows.
• Ensure compliance with energetic materials handling, ITAR, and explosive safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in aerospace, manufacturing, mechanical, or materials engineering.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with at least 3+ years in solid rocket motors or energetic materials.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or otherwise eligible under ITAR regulations.
• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks or NX), GD&T, and process documentation.
• Ability to travel up to 30% and lift more than 50lbs.
• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience in fast-paced aerospace startup environments.
• Background in facility stand-up and production ramp activities.
• Familiarity with industrial automation, PLCs, and MES systems.
• Experience with insensitive munitions practices and vertical integration.
