What you will do

• Lead the design and development of tooling, fixtures, and automated/semi-automated equipment.
• Translate product and manufacturing requirements into detailed equipment specifications and process flows.
• Manage RFQ packages, evaluate supplier proposals, and lead technical reviews with stakeholders.
• Oversee equipment design reviews and execute FAT and SAT protocols to ensure safety and quality.
• Support the installation, integration, and commissioning of equipment on the factory floor.
• Improve equipment performance, reliability, and cycle time during the production ramp phase.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with a focus on tooling and equipment.
• Experience specifying and delivering capital equipment through external suppliers.
• Strong understanding of assembly, structures, composites, or systems integration.
• Must have valid US work authorization (hirify.global is unable to provide visa sponsorship).

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other high-rate production environments.
• Experience working with automation suppliers or line integrators.
• Knowledge of DOE, process validation, and capability analysis.
• Familiarity with PLM, CAD, and manufacturing simulation tools.
