What you will do

• Set the architectural direction for the integrations platform, defining patterns and frameworks for 130+ provider integrations.
• Shape and standardize AI-assisted engineering workflows, prompts, and guardrails across the domain.
• Develop high-performance microservices in Go designed for reliability, low latency, and global throughput.
• Define the quality bar for the domain, including testing strategies, observability standards, and PCI compliance.
• Lead cross-team design reviews for high-stakes platform decisions and mentor Senior engineers.
• Partner with Product, Compliance, and Security to drive domain-level technical trade-offs.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience in Go, Java, or Kotlin.
• At least 3 years of experience operating at a Senior, Staff, or Lead level.
• Direct experience in payments, fintech, or PCI-regulated systems (PSPs, acquirers, fraud/3DS providers).
• Proven track record of leading architectural decisions adopted by multiple teams.
• Deep expertise in microservices, event-driven architectures, and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

• Previous Staff or Principal Engineer title at a payment orchestrator, PSP, or fintech infrastructure company.
• Experience scaling integrations across multiple regions (LATAM, APAC, EMEA, NA).
• Contributions to open-source projects in the payments/fintech space or public technical writing.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
