TL;DR

Infrastructure Team Lead (AI): Managing and optimizing systems powering AI research and development, ranging from bare metal GPU clusters to internal services with an accent on operational stability and infrastructure strategy. Location: Hybrid (London, UK). Must be based in the UK and able to work from the London office 2-3 days per week

What you will do

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of Infrastructure Engineers, setting clear objectives and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and development planning to support career progression.
• Own operational stability across infrastructure, including hardware monitoring and disaster recovery testing.
• Define infrastructure strategy, including capacity planning and project roadmap.
• Drive standardization, automation, and optimization using Terraform and Ansible to reduce toil.
• Manage relationships with hardware vendors and managed service providers.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an Infrastructure Team Lead or Senior Engineer role with strong people management skills.
• Broad knowledge of distributed systems: operating systems, observability, networking, storage, and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting Linux systems, specifically Ubuntu.
• Solid experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tooling (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with bare metal provisioning and PXE booting.
• Strong networking configuration and troubleshooting skills (DNS, DHCP, IPAM).
