What you will do
- Develop innovative high-frequency power converter solutions for AI and data center applications across AC/DC and DC/DC architectures.
- Define power converter architectures and key system components for emerging AI and data center power solutions.
- Provide switching power supply design support and technical guidance for applications using products.
- Develop reference designs and application solutions demonstrating performance, efficiency, and system value for next-generation power architectures.
- Collaborate with product development teams and customers to resolve complex technical challenges and optimize system performance, density, and reliability.
- Act as a technical expert and provide advanced application support to customers worldwide.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or foreign equivalent).
- Minimum 15 years of relevant industry experience.
- Hands-on expertise in high-density, high-frequency power converter design, including server power applications above 3 kW.
- Deep knowledge of power supply topologies (active power factor correction, phase-shifted and LLC resonant converters, buck/boost/buck-boost/flyback) and high-frequency magnetics design.
- Ability to perform complex calculations and worst-case analysis for circuits using products.
- Experience with MATLAB, Excel, and simulation tools such as SIMPLIS/LTspice/PLECS, plus lab equipment for testing high-frequency switching power supplies.
Nice to have
- Experience developing firmware in C/C++ for embedded controllers in power supply applications, including firmware guidance.
- Experience with finite element tools such as ANSYS.
- Experience designing power supplies/power converters from concept to production and supporting post production.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as I2C and PMBus.
- Familiarity with tools for debugging power converters with embedded controllers.
