Lead Environmental Technician

TL;DR

Lead Environmental Technician (Environmental Consulting): Leading and coordinating field programs for the Faro Mine Site with an accent on environmental data collection, logistics planning, and HSE compliance. Focus on managing field schedules, equipment maintenance, and providing leadership and coaching to the field team.

Location: On-site in Faro, YT (14 days on / 14 days off rotation)

Salary: $38–$48 per hour

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate field program schedules, assignments, and HSE planning.
• Manage general field logistics, including equipment, transportation, and accommodation.
• Develop and maintain standard job procedures and safety work practices.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and support procurement decisions.
• Perform remote field sampling and environmental data collection.
• Provide leadership, direction, and professional development for direct reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering with 2 years of field experience, or 5 years of relevant field experience.
• At least 1 project leading environmental programs on a remote mine or construction site.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
