What you will do

• Coordinate recruitment, scheduling, and training for Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committees (JOHSC).
• Conduct field inspections, risk assessments, and quality reviews to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review incident and accident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Provide expert advice on health and safety policies to departments, research centres, and schools.
• Develop and deliver safety education and training sessions for the faculty community.
• Maintain program-related communication strategies, resource documents, and manuals.

Requirements

• College diploma in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of two years of experience in occupational health and safety or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as a hard hat or respirator.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
