Digital Content Intern (Journalism)

Location: Must be willing to work in-person at our station in San Diego, CA

Compensation: $17.75 per hour

What you will do

• Contribute to station digital content and social media accounts
• Pitch local story ideas and angles
• Write assigned stories and publish content to the website
• Assist with phone and in-person interviews
• Edit video for various online platforms
• Cut videos from newscasts for digital distribution

Requirements

• Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program (Sept-Dec 2026)
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Must be available to work 15 hours per week
• Must be willing to work in-person in San Diego
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• News writing and journalism coursework with AP style knowledge

Nice to have

• Class standing of junior or above
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Bilingual in Spanish
