What you will do

• Research, write, and produce daily segments, including the host’s lead monologue.
• Lead production of segments for digital platforms, including YouTube and social media.
• Determine video and sound elements for assigned segments and interviews.
• Communicate story development with the senior producer and participate in editorial planning.
• Manage the control room during the airing and recording of segments.
• Pitch original story ideas for the show.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in journalism (cable/network news, website, or newspaper).
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization for the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of American politics and current events.
• Ability to work flexible hours under tight deadline pressure.
