What you will do
- Build and improve user-facing features alongside senior engineers.
- Write clean, readable, and well-tested code following established standards.
- Take small tasks from start to finish while raising blockers early.
- Participate in code reviews and pair programming to share knowledge.
- Grow understanding of system architecture and ask questions about integration.
- Communicate progress clearly within a remote, asynchronous team.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United Kingdom.
- Up to 2 years of experience building and maintaining web applications.
- Proficiency in full-stack development with a modern web framework (Ruby on Rails preferred).
- Solid grasp of MVC, automated testing, version control (Git), and web security.
- Strong written communication skills and a product-oriented mindset.
- Commitment to safeguarding and ethical practice in healthcare.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails, Hotwire, Turbo, and Tailwind.
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure, Docker, CI/CD, or observability tools.
- Curiosity about leveraging AI tools to enhance development workflows.
- Experience seeing tasks through to completion and prototyping.
