Senior Associate (Risk Advisory)

Senior Associate (Risk Advisory): Implementing governance, risk, and compliance practices for organizations with an accent on internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and SOX readiness. Focus on assessing design and operating effectiveness of controls, developing remediation roadmaps, and performing risk assessments.

Location: Hybrid. Must be based in Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; New York; or San Francisco Bay Area

What you will do

• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
• Identify control gaps and design detailed remediation roadmaps to close them.
• Execute risk assessments focusing on the risk of misstatement and fraud in financial reporting.
• Develop internal controls process flows and risk/control matrices using COSO and COBIT frameworks.
• Communicate project status and report operational or financial deficiencies to executive leadership.
• Maintain a network of industry contacts and establish new long-term client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience, primarily in external audit or risk advisory roles.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SOX, the COSO framework, and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Must be based in one of the specified US locations (Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, New York, or SF Bay Area).
• Ability and desire to travel as required based on client location.
• CPA, CIA, and/or CISA certification is preferred.
