Lead DevOps Engineer (Python)

TL;DR

Lead DevOps Engineer (Python/AWS): Designing and developing scalable automation frameworks and programmatic infrastructure solutions with an accent on IaC generation and configuration management. Focus on building Terraform code-generation platforms using Python and Jinja2, optimizing Windows environments with PowerShell, and managing mixed Linux/Windows fleets via Puppet.

Location: Hybrid (2 days office, 3 days remote) in the United Kingdom. Shift: 2 PM - 10 PM

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable automation frameworks in Python for consistent deployments across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Build Terraform code-generation platforms using Python and Jinja2 to produce validated infrastructure code.
• Develop and maintain Puppet modules and Hiera configurations for Linux and Windows environments at scale.
• Create robust PowerShell automation for Windows Server management, Active Directory, and hybrid cloud integrations.
• Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) for safe infrastructure delivery.
• Implement testing strategies including unit testing, linting, and integration testing for infrastructure code.

Requirements

• 5+ years of structured Python development experience (application code, not just scripting).
• Strong Terraform proficiency including module design, state management, and programmatic HCL generation.
• Hands-on experience with Puppet (manifests, modules, Hiera) for mixed OS environments.
• Proficiency in PowerShell for Windows Server administration and task automation.
• Solid AWS experience (EC2, EKS/ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM).
• Must be based in the United Kingdom to comply with the hybrid work model.
