TL;DR

HR Generalist (People Partner): Provide business-facing HR guidance across the full employee lifecycle with an accent on employee relations, performance management, and manager coaching. Focus on handling sensitive workplace matters, supporting investigations and PIPs, and translating engagement and HR trends into actionable people plans.

Location: Cork office - hirify.global's European Headquarters

Salary: €55K – €64K

What you will do

  • Act as a primary HR partner for managers and employees, providing guidance on people-related topics.
  • Coach managers on performance, feedback, and employee development; support performance review cycles and calibration.
  • Manage low to moderate employee relations cases, including performance concerns, workplace issues, and policy interpretation.
  • Support investigations with senior HR and Legal, ensuring consistent documentation and process adherence.
  • Guide managers through PIPs and corrective actions; support employees with leaves, accommodations, and sensitive matters.
  • Analyze HR trends (e.g., engagement, attrition, employee relations) and help translate insights into actionable plans.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in an HR generalist or early HRBP/People Partner role.
  • Hands-on experience with employee relations, performance management processes, and direct manager coaching.
  • Solid understanding of Irish and European employment law and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • High discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive matters.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with UKG or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Exposure to supporting multi-location or global teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • CIPD/HR qualification (or working towards).
