Systems Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)

Systems Engineer (Mechanical Engineering): Coordinating and delivering core engine and mechanical engineering drawings for Electric Power and Oil & Gas projects with an accent on system design, technical documentation, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on performing critical engineering calculations, designing 2D schematics in AutoCAD, and ensuring technical alignment with project requirements.

Location: Onsite in Kiel, Germany (requires being in the office five days a week)

What you will do

• Define and design mechanical systems, including engine arrangement, cooling, fuel oil, and exhaust systems, using AutoCAD.
• Perform key engineering calculations such as heat balance, alignment, back pressure, and ventilation.
• Deliver engineering solutions for Electric Power and Oil & Gas projects in line with technical and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with global engineering teams to promote standardized and cost-effective design solutions.
• Support order execution and pre-sales activities to ensure commitments align with company capabilities.
• Ensure all technical specifications and documentation are accurate and complete.

Requirements

• Significant industry experience in power generation, Oil & Gas, or large-scale industrial systems.
• Proficiency in both English and German (spoken and written).
• Valid work permit or EU-25/EFTA citizenship is required.
• Strong understanding of engine and auxiliary system design and system integration.
• Willingness to travel globally (~20%).
• Proven ability to provide technical guidance to customers during engineering and pre-sales phases.

Nice to have

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, ideally focused on thermal or mechanical process engineering.
• Extensive technical knowledge of medium-speed engines and associated ancillary systems.
