What you will do

• Build and operate safeguarding frameworks under EMRs 2011 and PSRs 2017 to ensure full FCA compliance.
• Manage daily safeguarding operations, including fund segregation, safeguarding calculations, and balance reconciliation.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Legal to design automated safeguarding controls and workflows.
• Prepare for and respond to external safeguarding audits and regulatory reviews.
• Analyze complex transactional and ledger data to assess safeguarding breaks and drive control enhancements.

Requirements

• Must be based in London, UK
• Professional experience in safeguarding or client money regulation within an EMI, PSP, or bank environment.
• Deep working knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks, including EMRs 2011 and PSRs 2017.
• Demonstrated experience in daily safeguarding calculations and interaction with custodians.
• Proficiency with complex data sets and financial systems using SQL, Excel, or BI tools.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Accounting, or a related discipline.
