Electronics Technician (Antarctica)

What you will do

• Perform diagnosis, repairs, and modifications to electronics systems.
• Maintain and test airfield systems and deep-field camp systems supporting aviation and weather operations.
• Calibrate and repair sensors, test equipment, NAVAIDS, communications, and meteorology systems.
• Provide 24/7 maintenance support and document all system readiness and incidents.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure work center safety.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain a T1 Clearance and pass internal background checks.
• Valid passport and driver’s license required.
• Ability to work in extreme, cold, and dark environments.
• Formal electronics training (Technical School, Military school, or apprentice program).
• Practical experience in electronics repair, maintenance, and installation (2-8 years depending on level).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
