Principal Engineer

Principal Engineer (Architecture): Providing technical thought leadership across the insurance portfolio by guiding engineering teams through complex existing systems with an accent on strengthening architecture, patterns, and code reusability. What you will do

• Design overall team and cross-product architecture, defining components and interactions across product groups.
• Lead implementation of architecturally impactful components and establish engineering structures/patterns that enable collaborative delivery.
• Research and share new techniques and best practices across the organization.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple teams: remove roadblocks, broker solution design/implementation, and promote adherence to standards and target architecture.
• Drive platform/product technology strategy, define enterprise design patterns, and provide feedback loops to operations via PoCs or implementations.
• Lead DevOps and reliability efforts: resolve critical incidents, improve stability/scalability/resilience, and evaluate/recommend CI/CD components.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in an engineering role.
• 5+ years of experience leading high-performing technology teams.
• Proven ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated participation and leadership in the broader technology community.
• Meet or exceed expectations of a Lead Engineer role.

• Full-time role with pay transparency and a salary range of $161,436.00–$218,415.00 per year.
