What you will do

• Build and maintain a continuously available, large-scale event streaming platform using Kafka and Flink.
• Develop tooling, modules, and SDKs to enable upstream teams to easily publish data and deploy streaming applications.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and strategic influence across the engineering organization.
• Implement infrastructure to support end-users in building, hosting, and monitoring their own streaming solutions.
• Drive platform adoption through consultancy and by unlocking new event-driven use cases.
• Perform incident triage, root cause analysis, and execute architecture design initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven track record of implementing and owning event streaming platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Kinesis, and Flink for stream processing.
• Strong background in cloud-based technologies, specifically AWS (MSK, S3, Lambda, ECS, SNS).
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Excellent programming skills in Java, Python, or C#.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence engineering organizations.
