Senior Business Engineer

What you will do

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor and solutions architect for strategic advertising partners, guiding integration and adoption of Reddit’s advertising APIs and tools.
• Design and prototype proof-of-concept solutions that accelerate technical enablement and deliver measurable value for partners, either in Reddit systems or partner codebases.
• Collaborate with partner engineering teams to optimize performance, close integration gaps, and resolve complex issues.
• Lead onboarding, testing, and pre-launch support to ensure successful implementation.
• Represent the partner’s technical needs internally and influence product and platform priorities based on feedback.
• Support escalations for complex/high-impact integrations with clear, actionable guidance to unblock sustainably.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience with a track record of owning end-to-end technical projects and coordinating across organizations.
• Hands-on coding experience in one or more modern languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Node.js), with a focus on backend or API development.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, OAuth2 / OpenID Connect, and modern SDK patterns.
• Proven ability to contribute directly to external integrations and prototype in partner environments.
• Effective communication skills for presenting complex technical and business ideas to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
