What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines to process petabytes of complex sensor data.
• Develop infrastructure to produce high-quality datasets for real-time on-car and large-scale offboard foundation models.
• Build an automated, unified data flywheel connecting data curation to model training.
• Develop infrastructure for Perception-wide model training and release-ready packaging.
• Automate data quality and validation checks to ensure dataset integrity across new cities and platforms.
• Collaborate with ML engineers and research scientists to deliver impactful ML workflows.

Requirements

• Outstanding programming skills in C++ or Python.
• Experience in ML data engineering, including pipelines, curation, and data balancing.
• Experience with the ML development lifecycle (training, evaluation, and deployment).
• BS/MS with 5+ years of industry experience, or PhD with 2+ years of industry experience.
• Must have US work authorization.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with large-scale data processing: Apache Spark, Apache Beam, Google Cloud Dataflow, AWS Data Pipeline, or Faiss/ScaNN.
• Experience building automated continuous model training and evaluation pipelines.
• Customer-oriented mindset with experience in cross-functional settings.
