Educational Consultant (Middle School Math)

Educational Consultant (Middle School Math): Delivering professional development, training, and on-site support for i-Ready math programs with an accent on data analysis, lesson planning, and implementation equity. Focus on facilitating workshops, coaching teachers and leaders, and ensuring effective use of diagnostic tools in grades 6-8 classrooms.

Location: Onsite in New York City, NY. Must live within 30 miles of NYC and have own transportation/valid driver's license. Open to relocating to New York City, NY. Travel up to 80% required.

Compensation: Starting at $65/hour for delivery + pay for preparation, travel, and other activities.

What you will do

• Facilitate on-site professional development workshops and training for teachers, coaches, and administrators on i-Ready and Ready programs.
• Provide tailored support including lesson planning, data analysis, and implementation guidance to improve classroom equity.
• Analyze student data and coach educators on applying it to instruction.
• Track training notes, complete assignments, and engage in internal professional development cycles.
• Travel up to 80% for educator-facing work during school hours, peaking in Aug-Oct and Jan-Feb.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years teaching/coaching mathematics at middle/secondary level (grades 6-12 preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Common Core Math standards for grades 6-8; must live within 30 miles of NYC or relocate.
• Fluency with digital tools, online assessments, and data application.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Office programs; ability to work independently and in a team.
• Valid driver's license and own transportation required.

Nice to have

• Master’s in Mathematics or Math Education.
• Experience with Zoom/WebEx or similar online meeting tools.
