What you will do

• Optimize the reliability and performance of database clusters and their core components.
• Design and implement architectural changes for critical database systems.
• Manage observability of database load, track relevant metrics, and perform capacity planning.
• Act as a subject matter expert for development teams by reviewing SQL queries and database migrations.
• Collaborate with SRE engineers to roll out production changes and mitigate database-related incidents.
• Automate database infrastructure and maintain high-quality technical documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience running cloud-based SQL databases in large-scale production environments.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and deep knowledge of MySQL internals (mandatory).
• Experience with AWS Aurora, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with Liquibase for database schema management.
• Proven skills in data modeling, performance optimization, and deployment architecture.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix shell and infrastructure automation/configuration management.
