What you will do

• Drive internal audit work for Japanese businesses according to local regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement a risk-based internal audit plan.
• Prepare regular reports and provide strategic direction to local directors.
• Review audit results, propose improvements, and track the progress of follow-up items.
• Collaborate with compliance teams to prepare responses to regulatory developments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business-related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in an internal audit role focused on operations and regulations.
• Proven internal audit experience within a financial institution.
• Native proficiency in Japanese and business-level English.
• Substantial knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and day-to-day audit affairs.

Nice to have

• Professional experience from a crypto firm or training from a Big 4 / Audit firm.
• CIA or CISA certification.
