What you will do

• Lead end-to-end design, development, and deployment of AI and machine learning solutions.
• Write complex AI modules, troubleshoot system and model issues, and ensure scalable, high-quality code.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to AI engineering teams.
• Define coding standards and best practices for AI workstreams.
• Translate business requirements into robust AI application designs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate AI capabilities into larger systems.

Requirements

• Location: Based in or near Reading, United Kingdom
• English: Proficient (B2 or higher)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years software engineering experience with modern OOP languages.
• 1+ years hands-on generative AI experience and 2+ years leading engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and ethical AI deployment.

Nice to have

• Experience with MLOps toolchains like MLflow, Kubeflow, Azure ML.
• Background in aviation, transportation, or safety-critical environments.
• Professional programming certifications.
