Software Engineer (Java)

Location: You'll have the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid model in our offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, Porto, or Kraków, after relocation to Poland, Portugal, or Spain.

Overview

Revolut's Technology team builds world-class financial products from the ground up to be used by millions. As a Backend Engineer, you will help change the global financial landscape, focusing on greenfield development and improvement of existing systems. You will be part of a team that has a minimalist approach to using external frameworks, emphasizing maintainability and fast turnaround with TDD, DDD and Continuous Integration & Delivery.

What you will do

• Build mobile APIs.
• Develop microservices to evolve architecture.
• Improve systems related to risk management, fraud detection, and payment processing.
• Focus on greenfield development and improving existing systems.

Requirements

• Fluency with Java
• 6+ years of experience in backend development
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, maths, physics, or similar field.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Fluency in English

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin or Scala.
• Experience in finance.
• Experience in a start-up or scale-up.
• Experience in a product-focused environment.
