TL;DR
Junior - Intermediate Data Engineer (SQL Server): Developing and maintaining SSRS reports and SQL Server databases with an accent on T-SQL optimization and data transformation. Focus on transitioning reporting workflows to Power BI and ensuring high data accuracy for business requests.
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Salary: ZAR 240K-360K (estimate)
What you will do
- Develop and optimize SQL Server databases and T-SQL queries.
- Build, configure, and deploy SSRS reports and subscriptions.
- Create database views, report datasets, and stored procedures.
- Perform ETL processes to ensure data accuracy for reporting.
- Support business reporting requests and troubleshoot report performance.
- Lead the transition of reporting services to Power BI.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
- Experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
- Knowledge of Python and Pandas for data transformation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a relevant Diploma.
- Must be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
