Senior Network Engineer (Federal IT)

What you will do

• Resolve complex LAN/WLAN/WAN issues and manage network communications equipment.
• Serve as the regional point of contact for network issues in the Pacific Region.
• Manage configuration and communications interconnection matters.
• Address multi-protocol routing and network management issues.
• Advise on the design, deployment, and standardization of network infrastructure to support the MHS mission.
• Coordinate with Government staff, medical personnel, and internal/external organizations.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance.
• DoD 8570.01 / 8570.01-M compliance at IAM Level III or equivalent.
• DoD Health Care Information Systems experience.
• Mastery of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.) and communications standards.
• Extensive experience with routed/switched LAN environments, Windows Active Directory, and UNIX/OpenVMS.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering + 5 years experience, or vocational degree + 10 years experience.
• CCNP and CISSP certifications required.

Nice to have

• Experience with SolarWinds Orion, ARMIS, Ansible, and diagnostic tools like OTDR and cable testers.
