TL;DR

VP Development (Fintech): Driving innovation, strategic planning, and a technology-first approach for critical financial services projects with an accent on SDLC optimization and enterprise platform management. Focus on integrating AI into the software development life cycle and overseeing high-impact strategic IT initiatives.

Location: Must have current work authorization for Canada. Flexible hybrid schedule (options for 100% remote, hybrid, or in-office). Current office in Toronto, moving to Mississauga in late 2026.

What you will do

  • Act as the IS owner for major strategic projects, overseeing their development and overall success.
  • Drive innovation and strategic planning, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer.
  • Establish, manage, and control budgets and long-term planning for the development team.
  • Collaborate with senior business leaders and external partners to align standards, processes, and project delivery.
  • Implement innovative technology solutions to drive business improvements and IT cost efficiencies.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in senior-level management positions.
  • 7-10 years of experience within the financial services industry.
  • Current work authorization for Canada is required.
  • Experience overseeing complex IT systems, enterprise technologies, and management information systems.

Nice to have

  • Experience using AI within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
