What you will do

• Ensure accurate CPT and ICD-10 documentation for patient billing processes.
• Perform daily charge reconciliation and quality reviews for assigned departments.
• Educate colleagues and providers on accurate documentation and coding practices.
• Analyze clinical documentation to identify root causes of denials and charge errors.
• Collaborate with Revenue Integrity colleagues to identify areas of opportunity and process improvement.
• Provide at-elbow support to ancillary departments regarding charge capture and supply charges.

Requirements

• Must have inpatient cardiology coding revenue integrity experience.
• Minimum three years of relevant coding and charge control work experience in a hospital or physician practice environment.
• Active coding certification (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or COC) or LVN/LPN licensure.
• Strong working knowledge of medical terminology, APC, OPPS, and reimbursement structures.
• Ability to work with electronic medical records and charge capture automation tools.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• CHRI certification or membership.
• CHC (Healthcare Compliance Certification).
• Experience with Epic electronic health record systems.
• Knowledge of clinical documentation improvement processes.
