What you will do
- Develop and deploy DevOps solutions and software pipelines for physics, engineering, and data analysis.
- Maintain digital services and migrate legacy Java functionality to modern programming languages.
- Build frameworks for the collection, storage, and management of nuclear physics data and experimental benchmarks.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate user needs into technical software solutions.
- Represent the NEA at international conferences and specialist meetings.
Requirements
- University degree in mathematics, computer science, science, engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years of experience in software development or nuclear science/engineering.
- Strong expertise in scientific computing languages such as C++, Fortran, and Python.
- Experience with Linux-based Operating Systems and Azure cloud environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Fluency in English or French and knowledge of the other official language.
Nice to have
- Advanced university degree.
- Knowledge of nuclear engineering, reactor simulation, or nuclear data processing.
- Experience with Java, SQL/NoSQL datastores, or Invenio Research Data Management.
