Information Management Officer (GIS/Data Analytics)

What you will do

• Manage the national IM function and provide critical support to subnational coordination groups.
• Oversee the collection, analysis, and sharing of information essential for evidence-based strategic decisions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive information management strategies and plans.
• Design static and dynamic visualizations and dashboards using MS Power BI and Tableau.
• Create thematic maps using GIS and specialized map-making tools.
• Manage websites and implement systems for accountability to affected populations.

Requirements

• University degree in Information Management, IT, Computer Science, Statistics, or Social Sciences.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in IM, data management, or GIS with a UN or NGO.
• Professional experience in a humanitarian context is required.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and GIS tools.
• Fluency in Spanish is required.
• Intermediate (B1) English proficiency is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, or Russian).
• Advanced university degree or formal training in Cluster/Sector Information Management.
• Prior experience working within the UN humanitarian coordination system.
