What you will do

• Lead the emergency mission strategy in Venezuela, ensuring alignment with national frameworks and humanitarian needs.
• Build and maintain coordination and partnerships with government institutions, UN agencies, and local stakeholders.
• Oversee the implementation of rapid assessments and operational plans for protection, WASH, and MHPSS.
• Manage the emergency response team, including rapid recruitment, onboarding, and ensuring staff wellbeing.
• Oversee budget management and ensure compliance with donor requirements and financial accountability.
• Monitor the security context and develop contingency and evacuation plans for staff and operations.

Requirements

• BA in international development, emergency management, social sciences, or a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in humanitarian or development settings.
• Fluent Spanish and English proficiency is a must.
• Knowledge of emergency contexts, specifically regarding protection and logistics response.
• Proven experience in the financial management of significant budgets and program design.
• Ability to be based in Caracas, Venezuela.
