Data Engineer (iGaming)

What you will do

• Build and maintain data pipelines to ingest data from Oracle databases, APIs, and SFTP files into an Oracle data warehouse.
• Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle 19c+) for data processing, reporting, and analytics.
• Design and maintain data models using 3NF, Star, and Snowflake schemas.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI to enable data-driven decision-making.
• Perform root-cause analysis to resolve data and reporting issues for stakeholders.
• Collaborate within an Agile team and participate in on-call rotations and incident handling.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role working with large datasets.
• Professional experience with Oracle databases (19c+), specifically using SQL and PL/SQL in production.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with a cloud data platform, ideally AWS (Redshift, RDS).
• Basic knowledge of cloud concepts (networking, storage, security) and CI/CD for data pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with modern data transformation tools such as dbt.
• Knowledge of Kafka and programming languages like Python or Java for automation.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, or streaming tools (MSK/Kinesis).
• Experience with data governance, quality checks, and security practices (RBAC, PII handling).
• Experience with other BI tools like AWS QuickSight.
