What you will do

• Create high-quality lighting schemes for scenes, levels, and cinematics based on artistic direction.
• Drive narrative storytelling through effective use of color, light, and mood.
• Maintain a balance between high visual quality and technical performance requirements.
• Collaborate with leads and cross-disciplinary teams to integrate lighting into the game build.
• Participate in R&D initiatives to improve pipelines and workflows.
• Review and playtest lighting work within the game engine.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in AAA console/PC game development.
• 1+ year of professional experience with Unreal Engine.
• Strong portfolio showcasing world and local lighting work.
• In-depth knowledge of Physically Based Rendering (PBR) workflows.
• Solid understanding of traditional art skills and photography concepts (EV, ISO, composition).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Degree in an art-related field.
• Working knowledge of rendering engines like Renderman, VRAy, or Arnold.
• Experience providing breakdowns or work-in-progress documentation of lighting processes.
