TL;DR
Senior Node.js Engineer (Node.js/NestJS): Leading backend development for BFF services and microservice-based systems with an accent on scalability, reliability, and event-driven architecture. Location: Hybrid in Buenos Aires, Argentina (CABA or AMBA)

What you will do
- Design and maintain BFF and backend services using Node.js (18+) and NestJS.
- Build and document versioned RESTful APIs within microservices and event-driven systems.
- Translate business requirements into prototypes and production-ready technical solutions.
- Ensure code quality through unit tests, code reviews, and defect fixing.
- Deploy and manage cloud applications using IaC or Serverless approaches.
- Collaborate with frontend and product teams to meet OKRs and mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Node.js (v18+), NestJS, or Express.
- Strong expertise in RESTful API design and NoSQL integration.
- Experience with microservices and event-driven/asynchronous architectures.
- Proficiency with cloud deployment, Serverless Framework, and IaC tools.
- Experience with GitLab workflows and monitoring tools like Datadog or OpsGenie.
- Spanish: Native level and English: Intermediate level required.
- Must be based in Buenos Aires (CABA or AMBA).
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, DynamoDB, etc.).
- Proficiency in TypeScript.
- Experience with React on the frontend.
- Familiarity with Agile SDLC.
