What you will do

• Own the PostgreSQL golden path on CloudNativePG, including provisioning, upgrades, backup/restore, HA, and replication as code.
• Operate RabbitMQ clustering, routing, and HA, building reusable messaging patterns for product teams.
• Develop self-service capabilities with guardrails to ensure database and messaging operations are not a bottleneck.
• Implement and enforce access controls and encryption standards based on ISO27001 baseline for compliance.
• Implement and maintain telemetry via Datadog to ensure system reliability is measurable.
• Mentor peers on PostgreSQL and Kubernetes-stateful patterns to raise operational rigor.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience operating PostgreSQL in production at scale (HA, replication, performance tuning).
• 2+ years in a platform or IaC-oriented role.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for stateful workloads (operators, storage, lifecycle).
• Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Experience with CI/CD and GitOps using Git and GitLab CI.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity standards (ISO27001 or equivalent).

Nice to have

• Deep production RabbitMQ operations experience (clustering, routing, HA).
• Experience operating PostgreSQL on Kubernetes using CloudNativePG (CNPG).
• Experience in regulated environments such as gaming, finance, or health.
• Operations experience with MongoDB or MongoDB Atlas.
• Experience with VMware or Nutanix for stateful workloads.
• Software development background in Python or Go for tooling.
