What you will do

• Lead regulatory horizon scanning for Treasury and assess the impact of evolving EU regulations on business activities.
• Translate EBA, CRR, MiFID, and EMIR requirements into actionable changes across treasury operations.
• Advise on new treasury products, investment activities, and third-party onboardings to ensure compliance by design.
• Partner with leadership on fixed income activities, including bonds, repos, derivatives, and FX.
• Act as a key liaison between Treasury, Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to drive aligned decision-making.
• Manage risk incidents, track remediation, and strengthen control frameworks to prevent recurrence of risk events.

Requirements

• Expertise in treasury, capital markets, or fixed income environments (bonds, repos, derivatives, FX).
• Solid understanding of EU banking regulations (EBA, CRR, MiFID, EMIR, SFTR) and their practical application.
• Experience advising business teams on compliance or regulatory topics in a first-line or close-to-business role.
• Ability to translate regulation into business impact and influence decision-making with senior stakeholders.
• Must be based in Portugal or Spain.

Nice to have

• Experience engaging with EU regulators or supervisory authorities (ECB or local regulators).
• Background in consulting or advisory roles (e.g., Big 4) within treasury or capital markets.
• Exposure to risk management, incident handling, or control framework design in a first-line environment.
