What you will do

• Ensure the team continuously delivers high business value and an optimal customer experience.
• Facilitate short development cycles, continuous experimentation, and iterative learning.
• Promote and apply strong, pragmatic engineering practices across the team.
• Drive the adoption of modern tools and AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and speed.
• Enable team success by setting clear expectations, removing impediments, and fostering ownership.
• Collaborate with Product teams to ensure a focus on customer outcomes rather than just delivery.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background with the ability to remain hands-on (30–50% of the time).
• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or Senior Engineer with a clear impact on people leadership.
• Deep commitment to engineering quality, maintainability, testing, performance, and security.
• Ability to lead through coaching, feedback, and mentoring rather than command-and-control.
• Capacity to create a psychologically safe environment that encourages experimentation and ownership.
• Must be based in or able to work from Liège, Belgium
