What you will do

• Automate deployment and operations of large-scale SaaS systems using code and Kubernetes operators.
• Develop infrastructure as code using Helm, Terraform, Amazon CloudFormation, and Azure ARM.
• Manage on-call rotations, incident triage, mitigation, and root cause analysis in live environments.
• Establish and drive standards for reliability, scalability, traceability, and monitoring across product teams.
• Instrument deployed systems to optimize for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure production readiness and manage dependency risks.

Requirements

• Must be based in Germany (Berlin or Konstanz) for hybrid work.
• Current certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, Linux, or similar technologies.
• Strong cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure (VPC, IAM, EKS, ECR, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch).
• Proficiency in deploying software to Kubernetes environments using common patterns.
• Scripting skills in Python and Shell are required.
• Deep knowledge of Linux systems, networking, security, routing, and load balancers.

Nice to have

• Programming experience in Go or Java.
• Working knowledge of OAuth/OIDC identity providers such as Keycloak.
• Experience with relational databases like Postgres.
