What you will do

• Act as the primary point of contact for the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and other regulatory bodies.
• Design, build, and maintain a scalable compliance program from the ground up.
• Provide expert guidance to product and engineering teams to ensure compliance by design.
• Manage all regulatory reporting requirements and provide updates to senior leadership.
• Lead the second line of defense in identifying and resolving compliance-related risk incidents.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing compliance team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in regulatory compliance within financial services (bank or digital bank).
• In-depth knowledge of the Philippine regulatory environment, including KYC, CDD/EDD, and transaction monitoring.
• Proven leadership experience in building and managing teams.
• Experience in compliance risk management within a consultancy, compliance function, or regulator.
• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a Chief Compliance Officer in a bank or digital bank.
• Experience navigating a regulatory sandbox or managing a bank licensing process.
• Established relationships with local regulatory bodies like the BSP.
• Experience within a global, multinational financial institution.
