Data & Controls Engineer (Hydraulics): Supporting the design, development, and validation of hydraulic systems and electro-hydraulic controls for earthmoving products with an accent on the integration of data analytics and simulation. Focus on diagnosing hydraulic performance issues using vehicle end-of-line data and optimizing system reliability.

Location: Onsite in Peoria, Illinois, USA (5 days per week). Domestic relocation assistance is available; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $89,210 - $133,810

What you will do

• Validate hydraulic system performance through simulation, testing, and field validation.
• Lead data gathering, mining, and processing activities for end-of-line testing and connected assets.
• Direct the concept, design, and development of hydraulic components including valves, cylinders, pumps, and motors.
• Diagnose and resolve hydraulic system issues using on-machine testing and data analytics.
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams and suppliers on New Product Development (NPI) and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) programs.
• Transform technical data from products and systems into actionable insights to solve customer challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Engineering experience in hydraulics, controls, and system simulation.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components performance.
• Experience with embedded control systems for mobile equipment or automotive applications.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to the USA; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience in Data Science, Data Engineering, and Machine Learning.
• Proficiency in system performance simulation and modeling.
• Knowledge of AI and advanced data analytics techniques.
